RUSSIA FEARS FAMINE IN APPROACHING WINTER
MOSCOW, October 2. A threatened famine in the approaching winter is acknowledged in a report of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, which admits that th. results of the grain deliveries are extraordinarilv unsatisfactory. Onlv 07 per cent of the August and 47 per cent of the September deliveries have been made. Farmers have been threatened with most severe penalties if they do not come forward with supplies.
