BOROUGHS PLAY SNOOKER AND BILLIARDS MATCHES.
The annual inter-borough billiards and i snooker matches between Sumner and 1 New Brighton were played at New ! Brighton last evening. The visitors ( were welcomed by the Mayor (Mr J. If. ] Shaw) and Mr G. Newburgh replied, f New Brighton won both billiards and ' snooker. The scoring was as follows , (New Brighton names first):— Billiards—J. Cusack 200, J. Martin 131; J. Arnott 130, J Allen 200; C. r Evans 160, T. Chambers 200: L. Lennie J 200, J. Brown 120. Totals: New Brigh- J ton 690, Sumner 651. Snooker—J. Mumford 87, L. Holston , j 69; J. Clarke 126, H.
