SUBURBAN ASSOCIATION. The management committee of the Christchurch Suburban Cricket Association met on Tuesday evening. Present: Messrs H. W. Rogers (chairman), W*BS«nSk C S r ?io^o?.^: Hillsdon, J. French, 11. Aria, P. M’Naraara and >V. U. Aitken. The Marist Club's explanation for playing an unregistered player, which stated that the error occurred through mistaken initials, was accepted. The Canterbury Cricket. Association forwarded the ruling of the New Zealand Cricket Council in connection with the Suburban v. Malvern Sub-association Shield match. The ruling was to the effect that the mutual arrangement made between the competing associations for a two-days match was in conformity with the rules governing the shield. The chairman explained that the suburban association had been compolled to play on three days by a ruling given by the Canterbury Cricket Association, and a ruling was asked for from the New Zealand Council, which upheld the opinion of the isuburbau Association.
