MR SCULLIN USES “GAG” TO END BUDGET DEBATE.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received July 29, 11.25 a.m.) CANBERRA, July 29. Using the “gag” to end the Budget debate, Mr J. H. Scullin forced the House to vote on Mr Latham’s economy amendment. This was defeated by 34 votes to 19, and the first item on the Estimates was agreed to, on the voices.
