BUDGET DEBATE IS TO BEGIN TO-NIGHT.

(Special to the “ Star.") WELLINGTON, July 2S. The principal business before the House on Tuesday night will be the commencement of the debate on the Financial Statement. It is expected that either Mr Coates or Mr Downie Stewart will lead off the Reform attack, while the Hon E. A. Ransom will reply on behalf of the Government. The afternoon will be devoted to the conclusion of the debate on the second reading of the Unemployment Bill. Although the Government is likely to refrain from the introduction of further policy measures during the period of the Financial Debate, lobby opinion is that a Bill setting out the Government’s intention regarding military defence will be brought down early in I the week.
