ROOSTER TACKLES POLICE SUSPECT.
SYDNEY, July 14. Ono of the suspects arrested at Art&rmon on Saturday, after an alleged attempt to rob the home j of Sir Clifton Love, dodged police } bullets and fleet-footed policemen without much trouble. But a Black Orpington rooster was too much for him. The suspect, after jumping ever many fences, landed in a poultry run in Balmoral Avenue. The rooster objected and went for him. With its spurs, it ripped his trousers and shirt and inflicted a deep scratch on the man’s hip. Probably the suspect would have got more from thß rooster, but he did not wait long enough in the poultry run.
