JACK HARRIS, ALL BLACK, IS MARRIED.
WEDDING TAKES PLACE AT HOLY TRINITY
, The marriage was solemnised this afternoon at Holy Trinity Church, Avonside, of Kathleen Rita, second daughter of M f r and Mrs A. E. Palmer, I Avonside, and Jack Hardy, third son of Mr and Mrs George Harris, Windwhistle. The Rev O. Fitz Gerald officiated, and Mr Arthur Lilley was the organist. Mr Harris is well known in Canterbury as a footballer, and in represented New Zealand, on the Australian tour. The church was beautifully decorated with cream flowers. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a handsome longsleeved gown of ivory satin beaute made with a full scalloped skirt, which fell ankle length at the sides and back. The semi-fitting bodice, made on to a yoke, was finished at the waistline with a large bow. Her beautifully-embroider-ed tulle veil, caught at each side of the head with a cluster of orange blossom, fell to form a long train. She carried an armlet of white and pink hot-house flowers. The bridesmaid, Miss Marjorie Turton, cousin of the bride, wore a picture frock of pale pink taffetas, patterned in a floral design of a deeper shade. The bodice was finished at the waistline with a taffetas frill, while the ' full skirt fell ankle length at the back, tier wide-brimmed felt hat toned with her frock, and she carried a posy of shaded flowers. Marie Ballan, niece of the bride, made a pretty flower-girl in a frock of white satin, with collar and cuffs of lace. Her poke bonnet was lined with lavender, and she carried a posy of pink and mauve flowers. Mr Sydney Carleton attended the bridegroom as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Winter Garden. Mrs Palmer received the guests wearing a smart black georgette and lace frock, a black velvet hat with a brilliant ornament, and a sealskin coat. Her bouquet was of mauve and pink anemones. Mrs George Harris, mother of the bridegroom, wore a smart black tailored costume with a black hat, and she carried a bouquet of violets. Mrs H Palmer, grandmother of the bride, wore a black frock and hat, and carried a bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers. When Mr and Mrs J. 11. Harris left on their wedding tour the latter was wearing a smart claret coloured georgette frock, turned up felt hat to match, and brown fur coat.
