REWARDS FOR BRINGING NEW “STAR" SUBSCRIBERS Any child who is a competitor in the “Star’s” £SO fireside puzzle competition may win a special prize by obtaining a new subscriber for the “ Star.” For each new subscriber so enrolled, every child will receive a prize valued at from 12s 6d to 15s. There is no limit to the number of prizes one competitor may win. There are only three simple conditions: — 1. —The offer is open only to Fireside Puzzle competitors. 2. —lf the new subscriber sends in a prepaid subscription for a year the reward selected will be posted immediately. 3. —lf the new subscriber decides to pay weekly, the gift will be forwarded at the end of six months. A list of these special prizes, from which competitors may make their own selection, appears on the Children’s Page of this issue, together with the third section of the puzzle competition, for which cash prizes totalling £SO are offered. Any child under eighteen may enter for the competition. Those who wish to win a special subscription prize have only to send in their name and address with the name and address of a new subscriber (not somebody who is already taking the “Star” regularly). The subscription rate for the “Star” is nineoence a week.
