Miss Sybil Rutherford, Haydon Downs, North Canterbury, who has been spending a holiday in Christchurch, has returned home. Mrs George Macdonald, Lowry Hills, Cheviot, has returned home from a short holiday spent at “ Avonholme,” Fendalton. Mrs W. A. Hopkins, Roslyn, Kaikoura, is visiting her daughter, Mrs A. H. Godsiff, Bay of Many Coves, Picton. The following are the latest arrivals at the Hotel Federal: Mr and Mrs Glenister (Auckland), Mr A. J. Freeman, Mr J. Tonkin (Cheviot), Miss E. Patriarca (London), Mr Bradley Hammond (Sydney), Mr W. E. Cockroft (Timaru). At the annual meeting of the Plunket Society to be held in the form of an “At Home ” in the Jellicoe Hall on Friday, July 4, Dr G. M. L. Lester will speak on “ The Plunket Society in Relation to Preventive Medicine.’* Mr Renfrew White, F.R.C.S., from Dunedin, will give an address on “ The PreSchool Child.’*
