COMORIN’S MAILS DAMAGED BY WATER.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received April 3, 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 3. The Comorin’s mails reached London considerably damaged by water, and it is feared that it will not be possible to deliver a portion of them.
The Comorin caught fire whilst at anchor in Colombo harbour, and much of her cargo was damaged. It was necessary to flood the affected holds to overcome the fire.
