ONLY TWO SAVED WHEN JAPANESE SHIP SINKS.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) TOKIO, March 6. Ihe captain and the quartermaster are the sole survivors of the Fukuju Maru, which foundered on the north coast in a blizzard. Thirty-one were drowned. The Ilakush Maru picked up three men clinging to spars, after being five hours in freezing water, but the third did not recover consciousness. The captain said that he was pursuing a familiar course in very heavy weather, when a sudden crash stove in the bottom. The crew reached the deck and were ordered to the boats, but the waves swept over them and the ship sank immediately.
