WEATHER INTERFERES WITH FLYING COURSE.

The nor’west weather which prevailed to-day caused a hold-up in the advanced work at the Wigram Aerodrome. The pilot officers who are now engaged in putting the finishing touches to their training have been looking forward to machine gun practice over Lake Ellesmere. Recently they had machine gun practice over the lake, but the machines were piloted by members of the permanent staff. Before the course finishes they will put in solo machine gun practice over the lake, but this is being held up by the very unsuitable flying weather. To-day the officers have been doing the ordinary routine flying in Avros, together with the instructional training in machine gun work, radio telegraphy and other ground work.
