SALVATIONISTS GIVE FAREWELL TO OFFICERS.

Enthusiasm marked the farewell gathering tendered and Mrs Montgomery at the Salvation Army Citadel Tast night. There was a large attendance. The speakers included: Mr A. Lutton (band), Mr J. Quenie (songsters’ brigade), Mr B. Rundle (junior songsters), Staff-Captain Dry (social officer). Miss A. Meadows (Corps Cadet Brigade), Mrs T. Meadows (census and local officers) and others. The departing officers expressed their appreciation of the kind remarks made and said that they wished for no greater loyalty and support than that given them in Christchurch. At the close of the proceedings supper was partaken of.
