SELWYN HOUSE CONCERT.

In the Knox Church Schoolroom yesterday afternoon, the Parents’ National Education Union’s school, Selwyn House, held its end-of-year function in the form of a concert. The programme consisted of four playettes, carols and songs. “Sing a Song of Sixpense” was produced by Miss Jean Holderness, and the other little plays by Miss May Hercus. The programme was as fol*®ws:~“Sing a Song of Sixpense”:'— Cast: The King, Sylvia Scott; the Queen, Juliet Heygate; Hey-diddley-dinkety, Barbara Firth; maid, Margaret Anderson; Jack-be-nimble, Jean Wood; chorus, lower school. “Catherine Parr”:—Cast: Catherine Parr, Dorothy Loughnan; Henry VIII., Barbara Young; page, Averill Wilson. Carols, lower school. • —Cast: Silvius, Peggy Pullon; Phoebe, Alison Clark. Songs, “Reveille,” “Who is Sylvia?” and “Christmas Carol,” upper school. “The Slippers of Cinderella”:—Cast: Myra Tremaine, Dorothy Laughnan; Jimmy, Joan Browne; Belinda, Margot Browne; Polly and Dolly, Ann Morrow and Sheila Macdonald: Jane, Jocelyn Francis; Agatha next door, Relda Duncan; Eliza, Alison Clark; the fairy, Laura Loughnan. School song, upper school. Miss Holderness and. Miss Hercus were presented with bouquets by Marjory Francis. At the close of the. entertainment, Dr Foster thanked all those who had helped to make the gathering a success.
