OUR CLOCKS.

To the Editor. Dear Sir, —May I ask this question: What’s gone wrong with the city clocks, three of which appear to be quite a subject-of ridicule, viz., Linwood Post Office, the Clock Tower and Ferry Post Office? Is it that we in Christchurch are not sufficiently advanced to tackle these timepieces and put them in order? Or is it that the people responsible are content to rely on their motor-car clocks and golden “ vest pocket watches forgetting the many who really value 15? Pro , Bono Publico timepiece? What a long time it takes to get things done here, does it not? lam etc . TEMPUS FUQIT. '
