RANGIORA NEWS.
ODDFELLOWS’ LODGE. Brother 11. A. Johnstone, N.G, presided over a good attendance at Monday night’s meeting of the Loyal Rangiora Lodge of Manchester Unity Oddfellows. One candidate was proposed for membership and one initiated Vacant minor offices were filled bv the appointment of Brother M. Richardson as warden, Brother G. Pethig as R.S.V.G., and Brother G. Lillev as L.S.N.G. MEMORIAL SERVICE. At the Methodist Church on Sunday evening, the Rev S. Henderson referred to the sudden death of Mr G. Hurley', which occurred on the previous Monday morning. Mr Henderson stated that Mr Hurley had been fifty-five years in New Zealand, and during the whole of his life had been a supporter and member of the Methodist Church. At his request, a motion of sympathy was passed to the deceased’s widow and family, the congregation standing in silence.
