Declares'She Had Money to Follow Him to N.Z. Bay Will Now Be Dragged to Find Purse (United Tress Association.—By Electric Telegraph—Cc*)yright.) (Received December 6, 9.5 a.m.) MELBOURNE, December 6. William Biggs, whose wife was found drowned off St Kilda on November 18, told the police that there had been religious differences between himself and his wife. She was an unbeliever. It xwas one of his beliefs as a member of the Plymouth Brethren that a wife could leave her husband if .one was a believer and the other an unbeliever. He, however, thought that his wife would follow him to New Zealand. He declared that she should have possessed £lO, also a wristlet watch. The police think that the £lO in the woman’s handbag may be in the sea and they are taking steps to drag the bay in the vicinity of the spot where the body was discovered.
