ATTEMPT TO FORM RURAL INTERMEDIATE CREDITS ASSOCIATION.
Another attempt made last evening to form a Rural Intermediate Credit Association for North Canterbury proved fruitless. < The Northern A. and P. Association’s: Committee, at its last meeting, decided: to inform Mr A. R. Jordan, district' supervisor of the Intermediate Credit,* that December 5 would be a suitable date for another meeting, and he convened it accordingly. At eight o’clock last evening, Mr Jordan was m attendance at the Northern A. and P. Association’s hall, but the only other persons present, besides the reporters, were Messrs W. Stalker and N. Goldsburv. About half-an-hour later Mr R. Peach, president of the A. and P. Association, put in an appearance. The position was discussed, and eventually Mr Salker promised to make an effort to interest the shareholders of the local dairy company with a view to convening another meeting. Mr Jordan then returned to Christchurch.
