Booth Tarkinston’s “Magnolia” has been successfully produced as an alldialogue picture, “The River of Romance,” which heads the programme at the Liberty Theatre this week. The ptoducers have assembled a powerful cast, headed by Charles Rogers, Mary Bryan, June Collyer and other capable screen stars. Of the supporting pictures, possibly the most interesting is a short propaganda address by King Alfonso of bpain. His Majesty, in good English b^t^ ltl V a mar ked foreign accent, tells of the beauties of Spain as a playgroiind fc-r the tourist. A short comedy, a Movietone News and two travel pictures complete a first-class programme.
