WRESTLER'S ARM BROKEN IN AUCKLAND BOUT.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. October 14. There was a sensational ending to a professional wrestling contest in the Town Hall to-night between Tom Alley and Naraijan Singh. Alley breaking the Indian’s right arm in the third tound by means of a hammerlock The Indian was taken to the hospital, where a more minute examination revealed the fact that the arm was fractured in two places between the elbow and shoulder. The contest aroused tremendous interest as neither man had hitherto been defeated in New Zealand ihe Town Hall was packed to overflowing and standing room was at a premium. Alley obtained a submission fall in the second round with a standing hammerlock, and won the contest with a similar hold in the succeeding round, when the Indian’s arm was broken.
