Establishment of a senior primary school for Sydenham, on the site in Milne Street, will be discussed at a conference between members of the Canterbury Education Board and dele gates from school districts surrounding the site, on Tuesday evening in the board’s offices. It is stated that if a junior high school had been offered for this site, the board would probably have accepted it. In view of the pro posed senior primary school there, and in view of the board not having come to a decision that the junior high system is the best, the conference has been arranged. Breaking into Mr J. Baxter's home Helmore’s Road, Fendalton, on Tuesday evening, a thief stole £5 and left the upstairs part of the house in disorder. A large sum of money in.a \va.let was overlooked. It is thought that the intruder climbed on to a porch arid gained entrance through an upstairs window. Rooms were ransacked in a search for cash, but no wanton damage was done. The burglary was discovered by Mr Roland Baxter, a son who returned home at about eleven o’clock.
