£20,000 DAMAGE DONE BY QUEENSLAND FIRE.

Fire in the town of Tully, in Queensland, caused damage amounting to £20,000 when a number of buildings were destroyed. The heat was so intense that shops on the opposite side of the street caught fire.—Australian Press Associaion.
