BANKRUPT LOST OVER £13,000 IN FIVE YEARS.
(Special to the ” Star.”) AUCKLAND October 10 “I never knew what it was to be hard up until now, * said Edward Francis Darby, described as ?>n agent of Auckland, who met his creditor?- to day It was stated that over £l3 000 had been lost within five mainly in quarrying operation at 3r u ry between December, 1924, and October 1926 Darby received over figure in cash as the benefits from his father’s estate and £6OOO of this had '*een lost •n the business (quarry). Darby said that he was not in a position to make any offer “This is the stone end of it, and I ha/e - j ari walk to town and back home,” hr said It was decided to facilitate bankrupt’s discharge.
