ROMANTIC DRAMA IS TO BE SCREENED AT TEE CIVIC THEATRE.
A new ani revolutionary development in the use of sound and speech will reach the green in Douglas Fairbanks's “The Iron Mask,” which comes to the Civic Thesre on Monday. While the voice of F-irbanks, as D’Artagnan, will be heard, here will be no dialogue. The spoken petions of the film will be in the natur of sollqules in which Fairbanks as D’Artagnan, will address the audience ind, speaking directly to them, tell the intentions of the characters and the motives of their action. In this manner he audience become a part of the livig play instead of bystanders. This m*-hod, akin to the “chorus” of the clagic drama was chosen by Fairbanks & the logical and most artistic utilisatm of the spoken voice in a story wich pictures the romantic glamour of a pageantry of a bygone day. Box pins are now open at The Farmers* ai The Bristol.
