(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received July 6, 3 p.m.) LONDON, July 5. The Athletic championships Marathon Race from Windsor to Stamford Bridge was won by H. Payne, who retained the championship by covering the distance in 2 hours 30min 57sec, 220 seconds better than his own British record and also faster than any Olympiad. Corporal Ferris was second and E. Leatherland third. Peters Holland retained the llop. Step and Jump title by covering 46 feet 8 inches.—Australian Press Association.
