MOCK WEDDING.

A mock wedding ceremony was held in Joyland Theatre, New Brighton, last evening. A dance was held later. The entertainment was staged by the combined sports bodies of New Brighton for funds for improvements to the sports grounds in the Rawhiti Domain. Nearly 200 guests partook of the “ wedding breakfast.” The bridal party consisted of Mr J. M’Lachlan (bride), Mr H. Throp (Bridegroom), Mr H. O. Brook, Mrs H. O. Brook, Messrs B. Goodland, H. Instone, S. Gallacher, H. Grammar, Claude Cooper,. The music for the dance was supplied by Reg. Woods’s Orchestra.
