BRICK MISSED WOMAN BY FOOT.

BROUGHT SHOWER OF BROKEN GLASS DOWN

A brick from the top of the Wiltshire Buildings fell through the glass verandah and broke on the footpath as a young woman assistant ran terrified to the door of P. and J. Hill’s clothing establishment. The brick missed her by about a foot as it brought with it to the pavement a shower of broken glass. This was on the side of the building facing High Street. On the other facing, towards Tuam Street, a portion of the stone coping was cracked.
