SEA WAS NORMAL ALONG EAST COAST.
In spite of the earthquake waves travelling from east to west, the sea along the East Coast was normal throughout the disturbance. At Sumner the water was very calm. No damage is reported from that borough. Motor-cars which were standing facing east or west were moved backwards and forwards for about a foot.
