CARS DAMAGED IN COLOMBO STREET SMASH.

A closed-in Oldsmobile car and a Ford one-ton truck were badly damaged when the two met in collision at the intersection of Colombo and Gloucester Streets shortly after ten o’clock to-day. The radiator of the private car, which was driven by Mr 11. Hulston, was pushed in, the right mudgaurd and lamp were smashed and the steering shaft was broken. The left rear wheel of the Ford truck, owned and driven by Mr E. R. Wyatt, a car rier, was smashed and the rear axle badly bent. Mr Wyatt was driving his truck across Colombo Street in an easterly direction and had just entered Gloucester Street when the collision occurred. Neither driver was injured.
