STRIDES FOR PLAYERS.

To the Editor. Dear Sir, —In the last four Rugby matches I have seen at Lancaster Park quite recently three of the games have been delayed through having to wait for “ strides ” to be supplied for players whose apparel has been torn off. The authorities have boys on the lines with an extra football to save time in keeping the play in action. Surely to goodness they can also have an extra pair of “ strides ” handy instead of waiting for someone to have to run to the pavilion. Hoping the Rugby Union will see to this and save several minutes which are so often unnecessarily wasted. —I am, etc., ONE ON THE BANK.
