SHIP USED UP COAL IN ROUGH WEATHER.

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 17. The steamer Yoseric, from Galveston, Texas, bound for Sydney with sulphur, arrived at Auckland this morning to replenish bunkers. The coal shortage was caused by stormy weather after passing Pitcairn Island. Last Thursday the vessel shipped a heavy sea, which partially flooded the engine-room. A Chinese member of the crew escaped being washed overboard by clinging to a ventilator. The Yoseric resumes her voyage to Sydney to-night.
