Johannesburg North was won by the South African Party by one vote. Mr Jansen, the Speaker, was returned. General Jan Smuts, General J. B. M. Hertzog, Mr N. C. Havenga, Minister of Finance and Mr J. C. G. Kernp, Minister of Agriculture, were also elected. —Australian Press Association.
