AIR INQUIRY. SYDNEY, June 14. An account of an alleged conversation with Ulm and Smith before the round-Australia flight, in Which Ulm said that one way to get publicity would be to get lost in the wilds of Australia, was related to the Air Committee by Studley Lush, manager of the Neptune Oil Company. Under crossexamination Lush said: " Ulm never made any concrete proposal that they should get lost.” Lush’s allegations are denied by Smith and Ulm. AUSTRALIAN STRIKE ASSAULT 3 SYDNEY, June 14. James Gable, aged 24, was convicted on a charge of brutal assault on Constable Brownette, who was acting as escort for a timber lorry, and was sentenced to eighteen months’ imprisonment. on a timber worker, Thomas Walters and William Moore were remanded on charges of assault.
