ACTRESS MURDERED BY HER LOVER, IS CORONER’S VERDICT.

At an inquiry into the deaths of Strachan Knight and Rene Linton, who were found dead at Cremprne, the Coroner found the case one of murder and suicide.—Australian Press Association A message on May 2S said: —A tragedy occurred to-day in a fiat at Cremorne. Rene Linton, aged twentythree, an actress, and her lover, Strachan Knight, aged twenty-two, land salesman, were found shot dead. \n automatic revolver was lying beside Knight’s body. Knight’s mother states that the pair quarrelled during the week-end. Linton called at Knight’s invitation to-day, and Knight ordered his mother to leave the room. The ' tragedy occurred immediately afterwards. Four bullet wounds were found in Linton’s head and breast, and one only in Knight’s head. The police are convinced that Knight shot Linton ind then committed suicide.
