Rain all over the country interfered with county cricket. Warwick made 197 (Peebles four for 61 and Robins four for 72). Middlesex made. 273 l'or nine (Hendren 74). Middlesex won on the first innings. Glamorgan made I*l6 (Leyland five for 44, Rhodes four for 30). Yorkshire made 147 for five (Holmes 72 not out). \ orkshire won on the first innings. Somerset made 105 (Geary four for 40) and 61 (Astill eight for 23). Leicestershire made 126 (Wellard six for 55, White four for 44) and 42 for six .(White four, for 9). Leicestershire won by four wickets. Lancashire made 174 (Ashdown five for 52) and 92 for one. Kent made 215 (Hardinge S 6). Kent won on the first innings. Gloucestershire made 184 for five, declared, and Oxford 223 lor six. The match was drawn. Cambridge made 337 for eight, declared (Block 108). Sussex made 266 for seven. The match was drawn. Hampshire made 35 for four. There' was no further play. In a friendly match, Essex made 154 (Cutmoro 79, Barratt four for 29) and 108 (A. Staples three for 4). Nottingham made 211 (A.
