DRIVER FINED £75 BY MAGISTRATE.

MASTERTON CASE WAS SEQUEL TO ACCIDENT. Per Press Association. MASTERTON, May 27. As the outcome of a motor accident near Masterton on Saturday, William Hutchinson Gordon, a farmer, aged 42, appeared before the Court this morning charged with being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car. He was fined £75 and his license was suspended for twelve months, the Magistrate stating that- the question exercising his mind was whether the accused should be sent to gaol right out. FINED £2a Per Press Association. WHANGAREI, May 27. In the Magistrate’s Court this morning William Saul pleaded guilty to a charge of being intoxicated when in charge of a motor-truck. He was fined £2O and his license was cancelled. Accused, who pleaded guilty, was allowed to pay the fine at the rate of £5 a month.
