QUEEN EXPRESSES THANKS TO NATION.

The Queen, replying to the Lord Mayor of London’s congratulations, says: “ I recall with heartfelt satisfaction the sympathy so warmly extended to myself and my children during the King’s illness.” “ From the Valley of the Shadow the King had been restored to his people with a realisation of the nation’s faith and hope.” She said:—‘l look back with gratitude to the fervent prayers and the earnest good wishes supporting me and those dear to me in the dark days of our anxiety.”—Australian Press Association —United Service.
