TENNIS ASSOCIATION CONSIDERS SCHEME TO ENCOURAGE JUNIORS.
Following the recent national junior tennis championships at Wellington, at which many promising young players competed, it is reported that the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association is considering the setting up of a Junior Advisory Committee. The duties of these officials would be to supervise the game among young players, and though the junior tournament was to be held only every two years, the success attained was such that the fixture may become an annual one. In the event of a Junior Advisory Committee being formed, the association will probably allocate a fairly substantial sum of money for the advancement of the work.
