ANNUAL MEETING OF MAIREHAU SPORTS CLUB IS HELD.

The annual meeting of the Mairehau Sports Club was held in the Mairehau Hall last night. The president. Mr W. J. Walter, presided over a fair attendance. The annual report and balance-sheet, the latter showing a credit balance cf £4B, were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr R. W. Hawke, M.P.,; president, Mr W. J. Wilson, V. Chaney, A. Goodhind, W. Crofts, sen., D. Mitchell, J. R. Devereux, Mrs W. J. Walter and Mrs L. H. Wilson; club captain, Mr L. J. Scuffell; deputy captain, Mr E. A. M’Kaskell; secretary (pro tem), Mr J. H. Parsons; assistant secretary, Mr L. Mortlock; treasurer, Mr P. C. Lucas; management committee, Messrs R. R. Wills, C. Clark, J. W. Jordan, L. Pither, W. W. Crofts, G. W. Brett and T. W. J. Cole; timekeepers, Messrs W. J. Walter, P. C. Lucas and G. Henderson and Mrs W. J. Walter; delegate to the centre, Mr W. J. Walter. It was decided to hold an open road race on January 17 at Mairehau over a thirteen-mile course.
