SERVICES HELD IN CAMP AT ADDINGTON.
The finer weather which made its appearance for the week-end was much appreciated by the tent-dwellers at the Addington Show Grounds. On Saturday morning the pulpit was occupied by Pastor A. G. Daniells, who delivered a stirring revival sermon. The large marquee was filled with ati appreciative congregation. In the afternoon the service was conducted by Pastor A. W. Anderson. A lantern lecture, illustrating heathen life in the New Hebrides, was delivered by Pastor A. H. Piper, who has recently visited the mission stations of the denomination in that grcmp. Yesterday morning was spent partly in Bible study and party in conference business. The Sabbath School secretary, Miss R. Hook, presented her report, which showed that there were 657 members in the Sabbath Schools of the South Island. During the first three quarters of the current year the Sabbath Schools in south New Zealand contributed the sum of £707 for foreign missions. Pastor H. E. Piper was unanimously re-elected president of the conference, and Mr A. S. Herbert secretary-trea-surer. The following were appointed the Executive Committee: Messrs H. E. Piper, J. Pascoe, G. E. Adair, S. H. Amves, \V. Wilkins, H. T. Howse and W. Cox. On Sunday afternoon, Evangelist A. I. Mitchell delivered an address, taking up the question of the authenticity and accuracy of the Scriptures.
