BRIGHT FILMS NOW AT EVERYBODY’S.
In “What Every Girl Should Know” the leading role is played by that charming actress. Patsy Ruth Miller. She has won a wide reputation as a comedy artist of the screen, but in the picture now being shown at Everybody’s she demonstrates that she has ability for acting of a more serious tenor. From this it should not be implied that the story is a particularly sad or doleful one. There is indeed included in it a great deal of genuine fun, but at the same time it brings one close to the realities of life. “ Somehow Good ” is powerfully dramatic, and is pet amid the beautiful scenery of rural England. There is some sadness, but also a good deal of fun. The picture is an entirely human one and very true to life. On the supporting programme there is an Empire News Gazette depicting many recent happenings of interest in other parts of the world. The orchestra, under the baton of Mr Albert Bidgood. plays an enjoyable programme of incidental music.
