COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.
Last Saturday evening, at 63, Hoon Hay Road. Spreydon, Mr and Mrs W. Leek and Mrs H. M’Kechnie were joint host and hostesses at a twenty-first birthday party given in honour of Miss Eileen M’Kechnie. The evening was pleasantly spent in dancing, games and competitions, the winers of the latter being Misses J. Pierson. M. Johnston and Mr J. Rogatski. During the evening Misses M. Johnston and J. Pierson danced the Irish jig and sailor’s hornpipe, respectively. The usual toasts were honoured at supper, wJien Miss K. M’Kechnie’s engagement to Mr C. Leek was also announced. The guest of the evening received many useful presents. An enjoyable evening was brought to a close with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.” Among those present were: Mr and Mrs W. Leek, Mrs II M’Kechnie, Mr and Mrs F. Pierson, Misses E. M’Kechnie, N. Plank, J. Pierson, M. Johnston, I. Kingdon, E. Laraman, D. Doherty, G. Wilkinson, E. Butterfield. J. Vincent, Messrs C. Leek, J.
