CHRISTCHURCH.

(Before Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M.) REMANDED. Charged with the theft of a bicycle valued at £6, the property of Roy Ringdall, at Ashburton, Frederick Farrant, aged 20, a hairdresser, was remanded till November 22. The sub-inspector said that there were other charges pending. Accused was adjudged the father of an illegitimate child, and ordered to pay expenses. DRUNKENNESS. A first offender for drunkenness was fined 20s, in default 48 hours’ imprisonment.
