STAR 111. PUTS TO SEA, AFTER DISPUTE.

The trawler Star 111., on which trouble arose about a week ago between the crew and the owners in respect to overtime and holidays, obtained a fresh crew this morning and put to sea at ten o’clock.

The vessel carries a crew of ten, an i seven new hands had to be engaged. Five or seven of the men arrived at Lyttelton by the 9.20 train and px exceeded aboard under police escort. It is not necessary, m the case of a fishing trawler, to have any qualifications as a seaman, and there is no necessity for an agreement, as in the case of a seaman. The Star 111. is owned by Mr Newman, of Feron and Sons, Ltd.
