WEDDING.

ALEIGH—TAYLOR. At St Bartholomew's Church, Kaiapoi, on Wednesday afternoon, Christena, younger daughter of Captain and Mrs W. T. Taylor, Sewell Street, was married to Campbell, son of Mr S. K. Raleigh and the late Mrs Raleigh, of Wairarapa. The Rev C. L. Sparrow was the officiating minister, and 'Mr A. Best presided at the organ. The church was decorated by girl friends of the bride. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a sleeveless frock of ivory georgette, slightly bouffant with diamantes. Her veil of embroidered tulle was arranged to fall from a coronet of silver lace and pearls, intertwined with orange blossom. A beautiful shower bouquet of freesias and maidenhair fern completed the toilette. The bridjesmaids. Miss Mabel Raleigh, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Eileen Revell, wore frocks alike of lemon-shaded georgette trimmed with gold lace, Crinoline hats trimmed with lemon velvet ribbon were worn to tone with the frocks. 1 Mr Keith Raleigh, brother of the bridegroom, attended as best man, and Mr George Clifford acted as groomsman. A guard of honour was formed by the Girl Guides and Brownie packs, the bride having been connected with the Guides and Brownies at Kaiapoi since their inception. Later, the guests were entertained at Blackwell’s Tea Rooms, Mrs Taylor wearing a frock of black silk marocain, trimmed with floral crepe de chine. She carried a posy of violets. When the bride and bridegroom left on their honeymoon, Mrs Campbell Raleigh wore a smart ensemble -Aurt of shrimp jersey chenille,-and a ribbon hat to tone.
