SUPERANNUATED PUBLIC SERVANTS HOLD MEETING.
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON. August 21. The annual meeting of the Dominion Executive of the Federated Superannuated Public Servants of New Zealand was held to-day. The president. Captain W. M. Barclay, occupied the chair at the outset, but withdrew from the meeting as a protest against the report, being signed by a vice-president. Mr Girling Butcher, the vice-president, then assumed the chair. Resolutions carried unanimously were that a letter be forwarded to Sir Joseph Ward thanking him and all others who had assisted for bis good offices in the cause of superannuation in the days when various superannuation schemes were started, and that inquiries be made with a view to securing fortnightly payments of superannuation allowances as is done in all Government Departments. The following officers were elected: — Dominion executive president, Mr Girling Butcher; vice-president, Colonel T. W. M’Donald; secretary and treasurer. Mr 11. E. Gilbert: executive, Messrs F. K.
