The vestry of St Matthew's Anglican Church, Hastings, passed a resolution protesting against the Church of England Empowering Bill, now before Parliament, being passed until parishes and Diocesan Synods have an opportunity of considering and voting on the measure. A successful concert was given by the Municipal Band in the Liberty Theatre last evening in aid of the Returned Soldiers’ Unemployment Fund.
