WHARENUI SOCIALS.

The fortnightly social was held in the Wharenui School last Saturday. Novelty dances were a feature of the evening. Mr and Mrs Ashby won the Boston Two-step, and Mrs Smith and Mrs Hockey won the Monte Carlo waltz. Mr Comyns supplied the music and Mr E. Hansen was M.C. As advertised in this issue, the next social will be held in the school on August 25. Residents attend these socials well, knowing that the proceeds are for the benefit of the school.
