The Education Board notified that the fence on Blenheim Road would be erected, and other work asked for would be put in hand at once. Mr F. J. Alley, the first head master, wrote congratulating the commit-

METHODIST CONCERT. Monday evening’s concert, arranged by the menfolk in an effort to overtake the ladies’ figures in the moneyraising contest, was quite an enjoyable affair, and well attended. With a careful eye on the finances, the treasurer reported that an electrician had recently put an electric light in order, and his employer had “billed us for half a crown for fiddling round for ten minutes.” One of the committee, having a vivid recollection of many and various attempts to fix that light, said: “I’ve put in ten hours fiddling about with that thing and couldn’t fix it; I reckon it's cheap.” The two-and-sixpenny- account was passed for payment, nem. con.
