WEDDINGS.

ORMANDY-M ORRIS. The marriage was solemnised recently at Trinity. Alethodist Church, Wellington South, of Eileen Delighta, youngest daughter of Airs 11. Morris and the late Air Louis Alorris, of Wellington, to Albert Edward, fifth son of Mr and Airs H. J. Ormandy, of Linwood, Christchurch. The officiating minister was thd Rev A. N. Scotter. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr A. R. Nilson, of Dannevirke, wore a dainty frock of ivory crepe de chine trimmed with lace and silver sequins. She also wore an embroidered veil with a coronet of silver lace and orange blossom fastened W’ith diamente trimmings. She carried a bouquet of white and pale pink belladonna lilies and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Miriam Uns* worth, was attired in a frock of buttercup georgette, with a head-dress to match, and carried a bouquet of autumn tints. She also wore a necklace of pearls. Mr W. A. Aliddleton, of Wellington, was best man. On leaving the church the bride waa presented with a silver horseshoe by one of her girl friends. , The reception was held at Gamble and Creed’s, where the guests were received by Airs H. Alorris, who wore a black crepe de chine frock with touches of white. The bridegroom’s mother was unable to attend owing to sickness. Later the happy couple left for the north, the bride wearing a green Crepe de chine frock and hat to match under «i beige coat with fur trimmings. MORRISON—OAKLEY. At St Andre w'a Church, Christ church, recently, the wedding was cek> brated of Donald Campbell, elder son of the Rev A. S. and Airs Alorrison, of Rakaia, and Mabel Grace, youngest daughter of the late Air Robert Oakley and Airs Oakle3% of Overdale. The church, with its beautiful decorations of chrysanthemums and autumn leaves, was bright with sunshine when the Rev W. T. Todd performed the ceremony.

The bride was given awa3' by her brother, Mr .Edward Oakley. She wore a gown of ivory taffetas over pale pink, made in early Victorian style and trimmed with silver lace. Her beautiful laqe veil formed a train, which was carried by her twin nieces. She wore the customary orange blossom and carried a Victorian pos> r of white flowers. The bridesmaids, Aliss Margaret Morrison and Miss Irene Todd, were dressed alike in hydrangea blue taffetas, shot with pink, made in early Victorian fashion and trimmed with silver. They wore bandeaux of silver leaves in their hair and carried Victorian posies. The . little flower-girls. Miss Elsie Oakley and Aliss Doris Oak--163*, wore dainty frocks of shell pink crepe de chine, and also carried posies. Air W. Gordon Alorrison was best man, and Mr Lisle Oakle>- was groomsman. While the bridal party were signing the register, a song, “The Voice of Jo>' and Gladness,” was beautifully sung by Aliss Glad\*s Brooks. After the ceremony, Airs Oakley entertained a large number of guests at Ballantyne’s. She wore a handsome black silk bengaline dress, a black hat relieved with violet, and carried a bouquet of violets and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom’s mother, Airs Morrison. wore a black satin frock trimmed with blue, a close fitting black hat with a touch of blue and a £>lack fur stole. Her posy was of pink flowers. Mrs Anderson (Dunedin), the bridegroom’s grandmother, wore a handsome brocade coat over a black satin frock and a black hat and feather stole. She carried a posy of autumn-tinted flowers. Later, when Air and Airs D. C. Alorrison left for their wedding tour, the bride wore a travelling frock of green charmalaine, with touches of bois de rose, a fur-trimmed coat of bois de rose and a smart hat to tone. BARNES—INNES. St David’s Church, Colombo Street, was decorated with autumn flowers recently for the wedding of Violet Evelyn, eldest daughter of Mr and Airs James Innes, St Albans, to Thomas Henry, 1 second son of Mr and Airs W. Barnes, of The Rev J. D. Webster conducted the ceremony, and Aliss R. Johnstone presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Air A. Innes, wore a charming sleeveless frock of heav3 ! ' ivory georgette, the skirt weighted with heavjj silver vandyked hem showing an under-hem of pointed georgette, and finished with a handsome brilliant ornament at the waist. Her beautifully embroidered tulle veil was caught at each side of the head with clusters of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of pink and cream hot-house flowers and chr3'santhcmums. The bride was attended hy Aliss Una Thompson as bridesmaid, wearing a dainty frock cf mauve georgette, with wide' scalloped border of frilled lace. She wore a smart hat of blush pink corded ribbon with upturned brim in front. Her bouquet was of mauve and pink to tone. Air Robert Barnes, the bridegroom’s brother, attended as best man. After the ceremony at the church, a few friends were entertained at afternoon tea by Airs A. Barnes at her home at Cashmere. *When the bride left for her wedding tour, she was wearing a smart jumper suit of mulberry chenille, with mulberry felt hat upturned in front.
